Spider Identification Day

Sunday 29 September

zebra spider

Did you know that there are over 670 spider species known from the UK? Not all of them spin webs, and some have skills so wonderful that they are even able to change colour to match the flower they are sitting in.

Come along to Wytham Woods at 9.30am (for a 10am start) to find out more, joining us for a day of spider identification. The perfect opportunity to brush up your skills or learn new ones - no experience necessary. Weather depending, we should see up to 30 different spiders.

Expert arachnologist Lawrence Bee will be leading the session. The day will end at 4pm.

Please bring a packed lunch, and clothing suitable for walking in the woodland.
